Light, Fluffy and oh so very Yummy!!!  If you were wanting to make my Rainbow Cake and were wondering what kind of icing I used on it here is the recipe.  I get tons of rave reviews whenever I make it so you know you are going to love it.

Cool Whip Frosting Recipe
1 c. Milk
1 (3.3 oz) Instant White Chocolate Pudding Mix (or use whatever flavor you prefer)

  1. That sounds good! I usually don't like whipped cream as a frosting, but this sounds like it would be more dense. I also like that you can flavor it with pudding mix...jello would be good too!

  2. It is very yummy TB. It's almost like a mousse.

I found a recipe on kraft foods website for a Hidden Treasure Cake that uses jello mix instead of a pudding mix. It sounds really good. This is what they say to do if using jello gelatin.

STIR 1/2 c. boiling water into 1 pkg. (4-serving size) dry Jell-O Brand Gelatin in bowl 2 min. until dissolved. Add enough cold water to 1/2 cup ice to measure 3/4 cup; stir into gelatin until completely melted. Remove 1/2 cup of the gelatin mixture and place in separate medium bowl. Add whipped topping; stir with wire whisk until well blended. Refrigerate 10 to 15 min. or until thick enough to spread. They mixed the other part of the gelatin mixture to stir in with some fruit to put inside the cake.

  3. Yum! I made the coolwhip mousse recipe on the side of the jello box last time, and this sounds similar.
